We are all LIGHT
At its core, science suggests this poetic sentiment: we are literally made of stardust. The atoms that form our bodies were forged in the centers of stars. Because matter and energy are interchangeable ( E = mc² ), our bodies (and everything we see!) are simply slowed-down, condensed expressions of pure energy: of light.
Anyway, whether we agree with that or not, we are at our best when we are
light-hearted.

The nearest star: the SUN
The Sunspot logo is an image of our neighborhood star, the giver of daylight and warmth, and the engine that powers all life on Earth.

But what's the darkness in the center of the 'O'? |

It's a sunspot, a big one. Sunspots appear in an 11-year cycle, currently (in mid-2026) moving toward the end of Solar Maximum, a 3- to 4-year period when the most, and most energetic, sunspots appear – a time of solar storms and geomagnetic disruptions of satellite instrumentation and terrestrial communications. To us, this time seems an optimal invitation to draw attention to our fiery neighborhood star.
